Hilary Duff, a mother of two beautiful kids, is in no exception. She firmly believes in teaching her kids the importance of sustainability.
Hillary Duff discloses in an interview where she talks about how she is emphasizing on educating her children about protecting Mother Nature.
Educating The Kids:
The 32-year-old star, Hillary duff along with her elder son Luca Cruz, seven and 16month old Banks Violet were featured in Parents magazine with the title “The mother earth issue” where she talks about how she is leading an example to live sustainably and then went on talking how her son Luca is a pro at it. She stated her son wants to be an environmentalist, especially after he saw the viral video of turtle struggling with a plastic straw in its nose; that also made him very sad. She also stated that she and her husband, Matthew Koma, are taking careful steps to teach the value of protecting the earth. Moreover, Hillary duff is also a co-owner of the natural diaper brand called Happy Little Camper. Where the brand has positioned itself to provide chemical-free, 100% cotton made, and affordable diapers for all the babies.
Reusable Tips Of Hillary Duff:
At home, she practices strict rituals to use reusable bags and glass containers instead of plastic to create an example for her kids; she also uses reusable shampoo and soap containers and reusable straws instead of plastic straws. She also said that as hard as it might sound to practice environment-friendly things and rules, it is not, as one takes steps to implement the standards little by little and making it work out not only for themselves but for the kids as well, things get more comfortable to follow.
While telling Parade, Hillary duff also highlighted on recycling issue. She praised Unilever for PCR (post-consumer recycled plastic) for the containers to carry the product. This means that Unilever creates new packaging by making use of the previous packaging that helps in reducing plastic and hence reducing the carbon footprint. She also urged people to take measures in protecting the environment and make the lifestyle greener by buying products that are environment-friendly and does not include harmful chemicals that are not only dangerous to the environment but for the people using it.
Lizzie McGuire alum also insisted people along with herself to take necessary steps to reduce plastic pollution; since everyone’s houses are filled with plastic containers, be it for soap, shampoo, shower gel, eateries, plates, and boxes, to trash them in right container bin. She believed it was a big step for her household.
The importance of sustainability is indeed an important step that needs to be taken by everyone. With the recent climate change, the world might enter into a climate crisis; therefore, to give a better future to our children, people collectively need to take action by adopting a greener lifestyle as Hillary Duff did.
