Being a movies lover, and always being a fan of Hollywood and watched every movie I cross on DVD shelves. I became familiar with the name of Jaden Smith when I saw a phenomenal film “The Pursuit of Happiness”. In this movie, Jaden acted as a child artist. Jaden Smith is the eldest son of famous and Oscar-winning actor Will Smith and Jade Pinkett. After success in his first film, he was offered various roles in the more movies. Due to his act in “The Pursuit of Happiness”, he was awarded best breakthrough performer of the year at MTV movie awards. Following his passion after acting, he pursed his deep longing desire to music. He started his music career in 2010, and he rapped along Justin Bieber in his song “Never Say Never”. He took a break from acting and focused on singing; however, he came back to acting in 2017 for Netflix original. From a young age, Smith was into environment-friendly activities. At a young age, he became an ambassador for a Project “Zambi” this project help kids in Zambia who are infected by AIDS. He also hugely contributed to the project called plant-based start-up Impossible Foods.
Jaden Smith has taken severe measure towards removing such elements that are a leading cause for climate change, and if this measure is not taken, this may lead to an increase in global warming. His love towards nature, he always raised his voice for this cause. Recently, he tweeted and requested his followers on twitter to abstain from eating meat for at least once a week. He started the trend of #MeatlessFridays. This tweet has given confidence and has encouraged more than eight millions of his followers to reduce the meat intake.
His tweet, which he quote, is “Dear Meat Eaters Let’s Start Doing #MeatlessFridays Where We Don’t Eat Meals That Include Meat for the Entire Day”. The twitter universe appreciated this initiative taken by Jaden. To be precise, his tweet got 31,000 likes, and 6,400 retweeted it.
As mentioned above, his contributions to plant-based foods. This year he also launched meat-free food truck this trucks main motto was to feed to the needy people. This vegan food truck, which is named “I LOVE U”, was brought to an area where many people sleep hungry. He shared news about his movement through Instagram. In which he showed the picture of the food truck. The message behind the picture was that this movement is for all human beings who deserved high-quality food, and it is an initiative towards a healthy lifestyle.
Our earth is dying, and its signs are now prominent. Statistics have shown the world that climate change is real. Jaden’s small contribution to fighting global warming can affect huge because every little step would be helpful in this cause.
